About Us
Meet our staff:
Jeff
Slaughter, Owner of The Muttley Crew
Jeff’s
extensive experience with dogs includes more than 30 years of
experience in pet care and grooming.
The Muttley Crew is Jeff’s fifth independently owned grooming
shop and his first doggy day care. He is a Certified Master
Groomer and former veterinary technician with an extraordinary
understanding of dogs. His grooming specialties are terriers and
rare breeds, but all dogs look fantastic after a visit with
Jeff. Jeff always enjoys seeing his long-time doggy friends, as
well as meeting new ones. He hopes The Muttley Crew fills the
needs of busy pet owners and gives their precious pets a safe
and fun place to play.
Lori
Goudy, Certified Master Groomer (CMG)
Lori has
been grooming for more than 20 years and it shows in her perfect
work.
She breeds,
raises and shows American Cocker Spaniels. Cockers and spaniel
breeds are, of course, her specialty, but she is very
knowledgeable in all breed cuts and can make any dog look its
best.

of Lori’s work you can visit her personal website

Lori
provides the same excellent quality work that you’ve come to
expect from The Muttley Crew groomers.

Cassie Lock has worked for The Muttley Crew
for several years and has become the linchpin of our staff.
She started here as a bather and has since worked her way up to
General Manager.
Cassie has the best customer service skills
I have ever seen and has done a lot of work learning about dog
and cat nutrition.
She has worked with animals since she was
very young, raising several dogs and cats as well as
volunteering at the Oregon Zoo. Cassie is currently owned by a
Boston mix named Ajax and a Heeler mix, Zep.
Harry
Frasier, our lead bather, has been working with in the dog field
for 10 years.
He trains and raises bird dogs. He owns two
pointers Stone and Dozer who are always at his side.
Harry is not only the best bather in town, but also does private
obedience training sessions. Just ask for his info at the front counter. He is one of the few
trainers that can teach the proper
use of slip collars and e-collars.
Harry has become such an integral part of our team, I don't know
what we'd do without him!
David
Mattison, Lead Daycare Attendant
David is our
Pied Piper of dogs… What can we say? They love the guy!
David has
been with us since the first year at The Muttley Crew and we
hope he stays around forever. He has such a way with the dogs,
you’ll swear he bribes them with steaks!
Your dog
will have a fun and tiring day playing fetch with David and our
daycare interns from Beaverton High School’s work program.
Pamela
Armstrong is a new addition to our grooming staff.
Finding a good groomer is not only hard for some clients, it's
also hard to find one to suit our high grooming standards. I
feel that we have found such a person in Pam. She graduated at
the top of her class from Tara Lara Grooming school in 1994. She
has since been involved in grooming Standard Poodles for the
show ring. See some of her work on our site and facebook page.
Pam has owned her own shop in southern Oregon and helped open
two others in Grant's Pass. She not only grooms any breed to
perfection, but is one of the few groomers who works on cats-
AND ENJOYS IT!
We are very happy to have her aboard. Her sunny disposition is a
welcome accompaniment for us and our clients.
Donalee
Fox started here as an intern from the Merlo High School
work program.
She was one of our daycare attendees. She has since become a
full-time employee with great bathing skills.
Donnalee is not afraid of hard work and a great willingness to
learn new things.
She has just adopted a new Blue Heeler pup to go along with her
two toy poodles and a Golden Retriever.
Brandi
Olds-
Brandi also starting with us as a volunteer intern from Merlo
High School.
She has since become a valued employee, proving herself by
jumping in
and doing any job necessary.
She now works as a daycare attendant during the week, and is one
of our bathers on the weekend. |
